Brian has trained multiple finalists for Miss America, Miss U.S.A. and Miss Teen U.S.A. pageants including Miss Teen U.S.A. 2001, Miss U.S.A. runner up in 2002, and most recently Lauren Nelson, Miss America 2007. Personal: A former competitive bodybuilder, Brian has won many titles including the Mr. Oklahoma 2001. Dr. Coyne is a former Professor of exercise physiology and nutrition and the nutrition coach to many high performance athletes including several Canadian Olympic teams. (Tanya Dubnicoff, Olympic cyclist, Michelle Morton, Olympic speed skater, several Olympic Biathletes, skiers and hockey players, Jamie Clarke, Everest Summiteers) and successful “Empty Quarter desert expedition leader, and Neil Runions who twice successfully completed the 135 mile Badwater ultramarathon. He is the author of the Best Seller "Fat Won't Make You Fat" and "The Little Book of Nutrition Nuggets. His writing appears regularly in a bi-monthly health and fitness magazine ”IMPACT" and the Fit Start insert of the Calgary Sun. He is the founder of Leanseekers - a nutrition coaching program that has helped over 2,000 people change their nutrition habits in that last 5 years.

 

 

 

Karen Meyers RD

Karen is a registered, licensed dietitian and certified personal trainer. She is an honors graduate of the University of Central Oklahoma with a Bachelors Degree and a Masters of Science Degree in Nutrition and Food Management. She holds a personal training certification from the American Council on Excercise (ACE) and is a Certified Wellcoach. Karen teaches Nutrition on the College level and has extensive clinical experience both in a hospital and clinical setting.

She is a member of the American Dietetic Association (ADA) and Sports Cardiovascular and Wellness Dietitians (SCAN). She has a certificate of training in Adult Weight Management from the ADA. She has served as President of the Oklahoma Dietetic Association (ODA) and has been named Outstanding Dietetic Educator in the state of Oklahoma and Emerging Leader in Dietetics by the ODA.

Karen is based in Edmond, Oklahoma and works with clients in their home or business location.

Jeff has over sixteen years of experience as a personal trainer. His focus is on post rehabilitation which encompasses patients that are discharged from physical therapy, chiropractic, and from family medicine. he also work with athletes in strength and conditioning. "Prehabilitation" is very important to athletes in making sure that take the necessary precautions to avoid a devestating injury. M.A. Applied Sports Psychology. Brandon Hodges

Brandon is the owner of Get Fit Nutrition in Oklahoma City, and is also a nutrition consultant in charge of product development for NuCare and ViaCore Nutrition. He is a graduate of Oklahoma State University with Bachelor’s and Master’s of Science Degrees in Nutritional Sciences.

Prior to opening Get Fit Nutrition, Brandon worked as a Personal Trainer with a Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). Through this experience, he realized the need for a supplement store where people could receive sound advice about nutrition and supplements for reaching their fitness goals. 

 

Landon Dean

Landon is currently the S&C/Personal Training Coordinator for the Chesapeake Energy Fitness Center in Oklahoma City. He has currently been employed there for two years and prior to that was a strength and conditioning coach for the Texas Rangers Baseball Organization.  Landon has a Master’s Degree in Exercise Science from the University of Central Oklahoma where he played and also coached football. He is certified through the National Strength & Conditioning Association as a personal trainer and a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) in addition to being a USA Weightlifting Club Coach.

 

Throughout is seven years of personal training experience Landon has worked with numerous types of clientele, ranging from professional athletes to the geriatric population.  In addition to writing for Elements Fitness and Nutrition Landon has also written fitness articles for another exercise and health publication called Shapefit.com.
